Confidence scoring

Every fact has a deterministic 0–100 confidence score — the same inputs always produce the same score, with no model inference.

The formula

confidence = SourceQuality·0.35 + SourceCount·0.20 + Agreement·0.25 + Freshness·0.20 − AnomalyPenalty

Source quality — tier-weighted trust of the contributing sources.
Source count — corroboration; more independent sources raise confidence.
Agreement — how closely the sources' values match.
Freshness — how recently the evidence was collected, decayed by the attribute's volatility.
Anomaly penalty — outliers and flagged sources reduce the score.

Publication gates

An entity is published at Discovery (KDS ≥ 40, confidence ≥ 50, coverage ≥ 40) and promoted to Verified (KDS ≥ 65, confidence ≥ 70, coverage ≥ 70). Below Discovery, a page is not published.
